We offer our many years of experience in the industry to local builders, contractors, architects, developers, interior designers, industry-related professionals, and now, to homeowners!
SARA REYNOLDS
Owner / Principal Designer
Sara grew up in Baltimore, MD and received her B.A. from University of Maryland College Park (go Terps!). She went on to earn a Master's of Divinity from Regent College in Vancouver, Canada.
After working as an HIV/AIDS case manager in Baltimore City, she began a 13-year career as a first responder. She earned her "wings" as a board-certified Flight Paramedic in 2018 and worked for the US Dept. of Defense until 2022. She then joined her husband, DuVäl, who owns and operates a full-service interior design firm. They formed a separate kitchen cabinetry company out of the firm in order to address needs that weren't being met by outside cabinetry companies, the goal being clear and punctual communication, exact quotes, quick turnaround time for designs, and easy-to-read 2D and 3D drawings. Sara has been heading that full-time since Apr2022.
In her not-so-spare time, Sara enjoys working out and most anything active, spending time with her amazing husband, her family, and snuggling with her little fuzz-kid, Queso.
DUVÄL REYNOLDS
Founder / CMO
With a degree in interior design and a passion for redefining kitchen spaces, DuVäl embarked on a journey to create a company that reflects his values and vision for the perfect remodeling experience. Frustrated with the status quo of the industry, he started Fairfax Kitchen Cabinets to offer a refreshing approach to cabinetry design.
With his nearly 20 years in the design industry, DuVäl leads his interior design business, DuVäl Design, focusing on residential projects. His journey in the interior design field has equipped him with a deep understanding of what truly makes a kitchen space exceptional. He's witnessed the trends, the innovations, and the challenges within the industry, which have driven him to set a higher standard for the kitchen cabinetry practice.
He takes pride in FKC's ability to blend aesthetics with practicality, resulting in kitchens that are both stunning and highly functional. What sets him apart is his unwavering commitment to excellence and his dedication to exceeding the clients' expectations. He is not just here to sell cabinets; he's here to build relationships and design spaces that inspire you every day.
Besides assisting with business operations and brand development, DuVäl has been tasked with lending his design expertise to projects, as needed.
DR. CYNTHIA PARK
Design Consultant
Cynthia is a Northern Virginia native, having spent most of her life in Centreville. She has many different titles: part-time Design Consultant, part-time General Dentist (yes, really), and full-time crazy dog mom and devoted wife. She received her B.S. in Nutrition from Virginia Tech (go Hokies!) and then went on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from New York University.
Although her formal education background is primarily in science and healthcare, she has always had a keen interest in home design--specifically kitchens, as she believes that the kitchen truly is the heart of a home. Dentistry and kitchen design may seem like an unlikely combination, but Cynthia’s years of experience as a doctor have contributed greatly to her strong attention to detail and aesthetic eye, as well as her high standard for customer service. Whether she’s treating a patient or designing a kitchen, her approach is the same: she goes above and beyond and just wants to make people smile!
Outside of work, you’ll probably find Cynthia snuggling on the couch with the love of her life (her dog, Harvey), while watching a questionable reality tv show on Netflix. She also enjoys being active and going on hikes or traveling with her husband (who, of course, is also the love of her life). She is also a major foodie and is always looking for new recomm-endations for restaurants or café’s to try in the area!
HARVEY
Mascot
Harvey is originally from Pennsylvania, but considers himself a true Virginian as he has spent more than half of his life here. He’s 50% mini poodle, 50% shih-tzu, and 110% cutie patootie (don’t worry about the math).
Though he does not have a formal education background, he has years of experience working in hospitality as a greeter, and also in home security.
When he’s not devoting his energy to stopping intruders or saying hello to visitors, you can usually find him napping away or tearing all the stuffing out of his newest toy.
Some of his favorite things in life include: chicken, squeaky toys, car rides, and snuggling with his humans.

Hi everyone!
My name is Queso. I was rescued by my pawrents off the mean streets of Fairfax when I was about 5wks old. I am not quite 5lbs, so watch where you step when you come to visit!
I'm the Personnel Security Specialist here at FKC. I'll come to you at the door, but don't take my cuteness for granted. I am armed with a (nearly) full set of chihuahua teef. If you pass my security check, I will (eventually) warm up to you and come hang out.
In my spare time, I love to snuggle with my humans & nap in the sunshine. Its a ruff life.
